U.S. taxpayers can access their tax information online by creating an account on IRS.gov.

Most of us already have online accounts for banks, credit cards, cell phone, utility bills, car payments, software subscriptions and online shopping. The IRS is now on board with the recent and continue updating of their technology. You can see your taxes owed, payments made, and lots of other information, such as:
Transcripts. Before you had to pay your tax professional to retrieve these records for you through a POA form or consent to share information form, or by staying on hold for 2 hours to make the request yourself after proving your identity. Now you can go online and print them right from your account.
Economic Impact Payments. Also known as “stimulus checks.” The IRS has a record of all Economic Impact Payments that were sent out, and you can see yours in your personal account.
